day 29: another day of extra-awareness! read a little in BoB again yesterday, found some important sentences I had not highlighted yet, here is one of them: 'The truth is, relapse doesn´t happen because of inner emotional turmoil, stressful life events, or eating a piece of cake. Relapse is a choice.' p.206 So, let´s choose a binge free life

hey guys I just discovered your thread and it's really motivating, hope you don't mind if i join for a while. I am now at my 18th day bingefree. The exact day when I finished reading the book. I didn'T even really decided to stop with it know, but somehow the theory of it got stuck in my mind. Actually I wouldn't even blame myself if it would happen another time. I just want to know, that it was only ONE time I gave in.. I decided to gave in, but this is no reason to keep on with this behaviour. I have a question - Even though it's nearly three weeks now, I do not feel satisfied at all. Mostly I think because I do not trust myself. I just don't believe, why "this time" it should work.. when did you start to feel excitement?

As recommended in the workbook, deliberately focusing on the positive aspects and celebrating your success can be helpful. Excitement is an extra, not necessary for quitting, but it helps to maintain the new behaviour. Personally, I experienced moments of excitement from the beginning, some days more, some days less and sometimes not at all.
