I was curious, I can control my binge eating, but I always want to eat more and eat more food, and basically always thinking about food. I do binge on some occasions, buts it's more of a food addiction and always wanting to eat. Will this book help as well with fixing that mentality? Or any tips or suggestions on what I should read? Thank you

Hello Jordan! I think I understand what you mean by wanting "to eat more and more food". I've been a compulsive overeater for some years - getting constant urges to BINGE and eat everything at once, but with time I guess this desire to BINGE smoothly changed to just desire to EAT. I mean I stopped wanting to binge, but instead I, like you, always think about food and constantly want to eat and when I finish a meal, I want more and can't stop - this way I end up bingeing anyway (even though it may be by small meals during the day). Even though my behaviour now is not compulsive and with all my heart I DONT want to binge - this is still an eating disorder (call it food addiction if you want, it doesnt matter). Yes, I highly recommend this book to you - it speaks the truth! It teaches to how to control your thoughts about food (meaning, to not pay attention to them). I think you can find some useful information in the book and if not - at least you learn about the technique to detach from intrusive thoughts, which you can apply in other areas of your life, not only in eating. You are so right in thinking that you should fix that "mentality", the way you see and perceive food. I know it sounds cliche, but you should try to find things that you enjoy doing in life, find and do what makes you happy, experince new things - I believe only this way you can change your attitude to food and start taking it as a fuel - not the greatest pleasure. It may be very hard, but I believe it is one of the most important aspects in builing a new, healthy way of thinking and feeling. Excuse me if I interpret your words wrong here. I've been struggling with fixing my way of thinking for too long (and I only recently realised that). Wish you good luck!
