*NOTICE - The Brain over Binge forum will be closing for new members on June 1, 2016. Existing members can continue to post on the forum for two months after that, and the forum will close permanently on August 1, 2016.
Over the years, this forum has served it’s purpose of being a place for binge eaters and recovered binge eaters to give and receive support, but due to liability issues, costs of keeping the forum ad-free, and the fact that the posts are not private (although the forum IS completely anonymous) have led me to this decision.
From now until August 1st, I encourage all of you who have made connections here to exchange messages to find ways to keep in touch. Support can be an amazing resource, and I don't want you to lose that if it's helpful to you. A group of you could even get together and start a private facebook group that could serve the same purpose!
For several reasons, I was not an active participant on the boards here. I've checked in from time to time to make sure posts were appropriate and focused on recovery, and I've been inspired by the encouragement you've given each other. I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to share their stories and reach out to others as well.
Also, to let you know, I am going to be starting some group coaching in the near future, which can be another resource for support. If you have any interest in this or if you just want to receive updates and information to help you in your recovery, I'd love it if you would join my mailing list here: forms.aweber.com/form/33/645015933.htm.
By signing up, you'll get a monthly newsletter and a free 22-page eBook titled "The Brain over Binge Basics." Even if you've already read "Brain over Binge," and "The Brain over Binge Recovery Guide," the free ebook can serve as a review of concepts.
Thanks again for being part of the conversation here. I wish you all the best! -Kathryn Hansen
