I am new to this forum and would appreciate any words of advice.
I was diagnosed with bulimia 4 years ago, but that has since morphed into binge eating disorder. It has gotten to the point where my bingeing is negatively impacting my health--specifically, my lipid profile (I have extremely high triglycerides, which is partially a genetic condition, but has been exacerbated by my bingeing habits). I saw a psychiatrist today to talk about going on appetite suppressing medication, but I *really* don't like the idea of doing that, and want so badly to quit this on my own.
My question is, How can I avoid the foods that increase triglycerides (which happen to be the foods I binge on) without falling into the "perfect eating" mindset?
